Dr Rupy Aujla

Guest expert Dr Rupy Aujla is a GMC-registered doctor, nutritionist, and founder of The Doctor's Kitchen - though if you've ever listened to his podcast, read one of his five Sunday Times bestselling cookbooks, or caught him on Saturday Kitchen, you probably already know that.
Trained at Imperial College London in General Practice and Emergency Medicine, and holding a Masters in Nutritional Medicine from the University of Surrey, Dr Rupy has spent his career doing something most doctors don't: explaining the connection between what we eat, what we drink, and how we actually feel. Not in a vague, wellness-adjacent way. In a clinical, evidence-based, properly-researched way.
His interest in nutritional medicine is personal as much as professional. After suffering a significant heart condition in 2009, Dr Rupy was able to reverse it through food and lifestyle changes - an experience that quietly redirected the rest of his career. In 2017, he founded Europe's first non-profit Culinary Medicine programme for medical schools, teaching the next generation of doctors that what goes into the body matters as much as what treats it.
