Why the name change?
In 2023 we replaced one major shareholder with another, welcoming the Culligan Group - a global leader in water filtration. Operating in 97 countries and serving millions of customers worldwide, Culligan brings decades of expertise and innovation. We’re now bringing that world- class water technology and know-how to Our Taap.

We’ve simply grown - and our name should reflect that. You’re still in safe hands, and we mean that.

What hasn’t changed
Everything else remains exactly the same – from contracts and services to the team managing the business - we aren’t changing a thing.

At the very start, in 2012, Holly Branson brought together a clean-tech team under Virgin Pure to re-invent the way families drink pure water at home. By connecting simple purifying water systems to homes everywhere, we set out to dramatically reduce plastic bottle waste - and we have.

Today, with over 70,000 homes saving more than 120 million plastic bottles, our impact is growing, and so is our vision. We take our work personally because we know that every drop matters. But this is just the beginning. Our belief has never changed - pure drinking water shouldn’t cost our earth.

I’m proud of what the Virgin Pure Team has achieved during our partnership. We started out with the hope of reducing single use plastic consumption by changing the way families drink water at home. With more than 50,000 homes on board, I know this is just the beginning, and the same team will take the business from strength to strength under a new name.
